Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies


This delicious cookie recipe is from the side of gold medal flour.

1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 cups quick cooking oats
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, beat brown sugar, butter, vanilla, and egg with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended, or mix with spoon. Add oats, flour, baking soda, and salt; mix well. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.

2. On ungreased cookie sheets, shape the cookies and place on cookie sheet.

3. Bake 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks.

Chocolate Chip Cookies



This recipe is from toll house cookies!


2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

PREHEAT oven to 375° F.


COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Makes about 5 dozen Cookies

Lengua De Gato Cookies(cat's tongue cookies)

This is so buttery crispy thin melt in your mouth sugar cookies. Very easy to  make.The recipe makes 24  small cookies,I used powdered sugar for the melt in your mouth feel.Good with a cup of tea or coffee for a light merienda.


1/2c. unsalted soft butter
2/3c. powdered sugar
2 large eggwhites
1 1/3c. cake flour or all purpose
1t. vanilla extract
1/4t. salt

1. preheat oven to 350 adjust oven rack in the middle, line cookie pans w/ parchment papers or foil
2.cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, add eggwhites gradually, then the salt and vanilla
3.add flour and mix well
4.chill (if the dough is too soft)
5.use a pastry bag with a round tip or just use a freezer or sandwich bags cut the ends off to pipe the dough
6.bake for 10-12 minutes watch the oven carefully, the cookies  bake really fast so keep your eyes on them.

Christmas butter sugar cookies

My kids made these yesterday, it is so easy to make with less ingredients.Just chill the dough and use a christmas cookie cutter ice with simple powder sugar and milk icing  and color icing  with the holiday color. This is just half of the original recipe and makes 24 buttery cookies.The recipe is from The homemade cookies recipe book.


1/2c.butter room temperature
1/2c.sugar
1/2c.sour cream
1 extra large egg yolk
1/2t.vanilla
1 1/2c.sifted APF
1/2t.salt
1/2t.b.powder
1/4 t. baking soda
Sugar (for tops)

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly; add sour cream, egg yolk, and vanilla.
Sift together dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture, blending well; chill.
Roll out the dough flat and cut the shapes out and place on greased cookie sheet. (be sure to flour the cookie cutter and surface)
Place in the oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees.

Peanut Butter Blossoms

This is a very easy cookie recipe. My daughter baked it all by herself.The  cookie is a little crumbly but very good peanut butter flavor.

Hershey's Kisses
1/2 cup butter
1 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups APF
1 t baking soda
1/2 t salt
sugar (to roll cookies in)

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Beat butter and peanut butter until smooth and add sugar and brown sugar, beat until fluffy.
Add egg, milk, and vanilla, beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll in sugar, and place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8-10 min or until golden brown.
while baking, unwrap kisses from their wrappers and place on a plate.
When cookies are done, immediately place kisses in the middle of the cookies, cool and enjoy!!!
